KAI-RID Membership Gap Resolution
KAI-RID is moving . . . moving from a calendar year to a fiscal year,
that is!
This presents a one-time issue for membership to tackle. According to
the bylaws passed at the 2007 conference, our membership cycle now
runs July 1 to June 30 every year.
That means we are going to run into a 6-month revenue gap in 2008 as
we catch up to our new schedule.
We know this may seem a bit confusing, but we wanted to give you
options for managing your membership. As you will read, Option #1 will
give you the most value for your money, but you do have two options:
Please note, all pricing is given for Individual Memberships.
Pricing for other memberships is detailed in the spreadsheet.
Thankfully, this is only a one-time problem. After these time periods,
the cycle will always run July 1-June 30th. As the bylaws read, you
could join immediately if you aren’t already a member for $35 and that
membership would be good until June 2008.
There are different levels of memberships with different prices. Click
here to read the full document and see how each level of membership
would fall into each of the options.
As stated before, Option #1 gives you the best value for your money and
is the easiest to keep track of, but we wanted the members to have
options.
As a special bonus, those members who signed the original KAI-RID
charter last spring at the conference will have “Charter Member”
permanently printed on their membership card!
The bottom line is KAI-RID needs your support on this to help us reach
our goals to make this a year-round organization that provides
opportunities and benefits for all members. We hope you’ve been
utilizing and enjoying the updated website, e-newsletters, extensive
workshops, opportunities to pitch in on committees, social events, and
more since we’ve become affiliated with RID. All of our networks with
fellow RID members have also grown tremendously in the last year,
particularly with the investment of a state chapter board + committee
chairs retreat, sending officers to the national conference in August, and
sending two representatives to the Region IV leadership retreat just
recently.
All of this is made possible by a strong revenue stream, so thank you in
advance for paying your dues according to the tips above! A
membership renewal form and return envelope has been included for
your convenience. We look forward to continued strength in our
organization and even more opportunities for you to get involved to
make your membership more and more valuable. Questions? Just
contact Registrant Courtney Sebring at registrant@kai-rid.org.
Sincerely,
The KAI-RID Board
