Wichita Public Schools Seeking Interpreter

The Wichita Public Schools Department of Special Education is seeking
certified Educational Sign Language Interpreter(s) who possess a 3.0 or
above on the EIPA or KQAS and;

  • Must be registered with Kansas Commission of the Deaf and
    Hard of Hearing as an Interpreter,
  • Demonstrate control abilities in high/low demand settings,
  • Have graduated from an Accredited Interpreter Training Program
    with an Associates of Applied Science Degree or have an ITP
    Certificate of Completion and/or a Bachelors degree,
  • Must be able to accommodate student’s modality or language
    [WPS D/HH Spectrum of Interpreting Services model],
  • Competency in production of spoken and written English as well
    as understanding and expressing ASL and MCE,
