Kansas School for the Deaf Photos

Passing on an email from
David LaCrone, Web Content Developer, Johnson County Library

Hello,
I have been contacting regional and national deaf institutions regarding a digital project that may be of interest to deaf educators and students.
Kansas School for the Deaf has recently unveiled a collection of digitized
historical photographs on the JoCoHistory.org website. Nearly 2,500
images document the history, people, facilities, culture and athletics of
KSD from the 19th century to the present.

If your students or staff are interested in this, the collection is freely
available at http://search.jocohistory.org/cdm4/browse.php?
CISOROOT=/ksd.

Feel free to contact me with any questions or comments.

Enjoy!

KAI-RID Membership Gap Resolution

KAI-RID is moving . . . moving from a calendar year to a fiscal year,
that is!

This presents a one-time issue for membership to tackle.  According to
the bylaws passed at the 2007 conference, our membership cycle now
runs July 1 to June 30 every year.

That means we are going to run into a 6-month revenue gap in 2008 as
we catch up to our new schedule.
