An announcement from WAD!
The Wichita Association of the Deaf is proud to be the host of the
Kansas Association of the Deaf biennial conference in June 2009. Not
only will we be hosting the conference, we will also be celebrating the
100th anniversary of KAD! The KAD 2009 Committee is raising funds in
order to host the best KAD convention ever!
We are selling "JUSTSIGNIT" bracelets for $3.00. You won't find this
bracelet anywhere else! Made exclusively for the Wichita Association of
the Deaf, the "JUSTSIGNIT" bracelets are custom-made, high-quality
blue silicone bracelets.

Win 2 Free Plane Tickets To Denver On Frontier
The Wichita Association of the Deaf is having a drawing for 2 free plane
tickets from Wichita to Denver on Frontier Airlines! Buy a ticket for $1.00
and be eligible to win 2 plane tickets. If you want to increases your
chances of winning, buy more raffle tickets! The drawing will be held in
January 2008 (date to be announced in the near future).

KAI-RID is looking for a new logo!!!! (Deadline
As KAI-RID transitions to being an RID Affiliate Chapter we are
looking for a new logo to go with our new name. We are asking that
members submit ideas for the new logo to webmaster@kai-rid.org
Please submit your logo ideas by December 15, 2007 in either a .gif
or .jpeg format.
The person who submits the logo that is selected to represent KAI-RID
will receive a free registration to the next KAI-RID Conference.
Below is more detailed information.
Note: Individual and Group submissions will be accepted but only one
conference registration will be awarded for the winning submission.
Submissions will be accepted by any person or group as long as the
are sponsored by a KAI-RID member.
**General Information**
- Logo design will be judged on creativity, originality, aesthetics,
use of space and color, as well as conveying KAI-RID's Mission.
- The KAI-RID membership will vote for their top three choices then
the KAI-RID Board of Directors will chose from the final three.
- The winning designer must agree to assign the copyright to KAI-RID
and attach no other restrictions to the use of the logo. All
designers must declare that they do not infringe the rights of
another party and that publishing their logo for the purpose of this
contest is acceptable.
**Logo Guidelines**
-Logo must contain the KAI-RID Acronym
- Logo may be used in color or grayscale so design should not depend
on color exclusively.
- Final design should be scaleable for printing.
- Designers can work independently or in groups (but only one
conference registration will be awarded)
- Logo must not contain any previously copyrighted elements.
